We’re back! It’s time for another round of the Book Blogger Hop, hosted by Billy @ Ramblings of a Coffee Addicted Writer. In case you haven’t participated before, the Book Blogger Hop is a super-fun weekly link-up where bloggers submit questions and we answer one each week! Last week, we talked about our favorite books of 2017(I will admit, we had a hard time narrowing ours down). This week, the question focuses on 2018 . . .
What upcoming titles are you looking forward to reading in 2018?
This question was submitted by Billy, our gracious host, so don’t forget to show her some love when you go hopping!
Ever noticed the lack of chatter about upcoming books on this blog? That is because I am absolutely horrible at keeping up with what’s about to be released. I think I have missed almost every release date for NetGalley that I have been provided an ARC to. Yes, pathetic.
HOWEVER . . .
There are two books that I am really looking forward to reading this year . . .
The Upside to Being Single
by Emma Hart
Release Date: January 30, 2018
This is one of the few books I have preordered so far this year. My preorder list is always short because frankly, I don’t like waiting. But this one looked like too much fun to pass up. One sentence summary – Girl shows guy her boobs at Mardi Gras and guy turns out to be her new boss! I can’t wait to read it 🙂
Ace of Shades
The Shadow Game Series #1
by Amanda Foody
Release Date: April 10, 2018
You know a book has to be good if I am willing to wait FOUR months to get it! In one sentence? A proper young lady meets a con man on a search to find her missing mother in the City of Sin. Amazon classifies this one as a crime thriller and it sounds fantastic!
Okay, the next two books aren’t new releases but if you know me, you know I have a (very healthy) obsession with the TV show Fixer Upper. As someone who originally wanted to be an interior designer (until she realized she had absolutely no talent for it and creating worlds from scratch was easier / more fun), this show was an instant hit to me! And I absolutely love the husband-wife duo of Chip and Joanna Gaines. They are hilarious and so much fun to watch.
So, for books 3 and 4 on my very short list, I give you . . .
Capital Gaines: Smart Things I Learned Doing Stupid Stuff
by Chip Gaines
AND . . .
The Magnolia Story
by Chip and Joanna Gaines
These are both upcoming reads for me because I downloaded a sample of each one, fell in love with each one (big surprise), and gave the decision of which to buy first to my husband. The Wise One asked me if I could start reading either right away? Well . . . *hangs head sheepishly* no. I have a few tours to finish out for January so it would be February before I could start them. What does he suggest? Wait until then and buy both! I like your logic, oh Wise One 🙂
That’s all I have for you this week. What books are you looking forward to in 2018? Are they new releases or old ones that have been on your TBR far too long?
