With 2018 (and our AtoZ Reading Challenge!) only days away, I thought it would be fitting to reflect on 2017 just a bit with this super-fun tag that Crystal and I were tagged in by the lovely Bookmark Chronicles.
- Link to the person who tagged you (that would be Megan @ Ginger Mom & the Kindle Quest)
- Link to the creator of the tag (Bookmark Chronicles – we are so thrilled to be the first generation of tagged bloggers!)
- Share the tag image (it’s up there at the top of the post if you need it).
- Answer the questions below.
- Tag friends (or not).
Q2 – Authors that you’ve recently found and would like to read more of in the new year?
There were so many amazing new (to me) authors that I found this year! Michelle Madow was definitely on that list, Madeline Martin (I didn’t realize I enjoyed historical fiction as much as I do until I started reading her Mercenary Maidens series), Teri Wilson (the start of The Royals series was so cute and I can’t wait to read the rest!), and Melissa Foster (I completely fell in love with Ty Braden this year!).
Q3 – Most anticipated book turned movie/tv show?
I keep up with new release movies about as well as new release books. What’s coming out in 2018? I will probably find out once they’ve already been released. Until then – suggestions, anyone?
Q4 – Name a character that you wouldn’t mind sharing a kiss with at midnight (if there is one).
I am going to tweak this a bit (already found my Prince Charming) and go with a character I would love to meet at a New Year’s party (two toddlers – when was the last time I even attended one of them?) Cairo and/or Thames are my picks! They’re brothers and oh so sexy!
Q5 – What’s on your TBR for 2018 (5-10 will suffice if it’s an extremely long list)?
I am just going to go with the next 5 books that I am reading because . . . does my TBR list actually stop anywhere?
White Knights – Julie Moffett
Prodigy Prince – Natasha Sapienza
23:27 – H.L. Roberts
Bayside Passions – Melissa Foster
Dark Guardian – Amaar Habib
Q6 – How many books do you hope to read in 2018?
All of them! In all seriousness, I am setting my Goodreads challenge goal for 100 books this year! And between the AtoZ Challenge and the Beat the Backlist Challenge, I should have plenty of books to choose from 🙂
Q7 – Will you be particpating in the Goodreads Reading Challenge or any others (PopSugar, Down the TBR Hole, etc)?
I’m keeping it simple this year, as Crystal and I are hosting our own challenge. But, because I have an unruly NetGalley list (and eventually they will stop approving me if I don’t get some reviewed!), I am joining up with Novel Knight for the Beat the Backlist Challenge.
Q8 – Any New Year’s Resolutions (bookish, blogging /vlogging, or otherwise)?
Our little blog has grown so much in the last two months. We are hoping to keep up the momentum and keep sharing our love of books with you! Also, a new banner (anyone out there have any recommendations?) I am also hoping to attend BEA (Book Expo America) in New York this year! It is in New York, right? That resolution depends on me getting on a plane . . .
What a great set of questions 🙂 And, as a little thank-you, I am going to tag some of our newest followers, just to keep the fun going!
You’re it! Have fun and don’t forget to tag us so we can come check out your answers, too! Happy Tuesday 🙂
