Read-a-Thons

It’s Time For Bout of Books! [Read-a-Thon]

Read-a-Thons are a weakness of mine. Serious. I do have a bit of a problem finishing them, though. I sign up, with every intention to complete the read-a-thon, make my amazing TBR with loads of books on it, and start reading on Day 1. But then real life gets in the way and my plans of finishing fizzle out.

So . . . signing up again. I haven’t participated in a Bout of Books for the longest time (before the Ginger Mom, I believe!). That’s right . . . here we go again! This round goes from May 14 – May 20.

That’s it. Manga Classics Romeo and Juliet releases on May 15th and I received a copy via NetGalley so, in an attempt to get my shelf caught up, I want to have my review ready to go by then. I Flipping Love You by Helena Hunting releases on the 29th and again, thanks to NetGalley, I was able to get my hands on a copy so I will be reading that this week, as well. And then we have one of the most gorgeous covers I have seen! Ruthless Magic by Megan Crewe releases on the 30th and I received an ARC via the author in exchange for my review. So, I guess this Bout of Books is an ARC Read-a-Thon for me 🙂

Are you participating in Bout of Books? What books are on your TBR? Are you a read-a-thon addict like me? Perhaps in need of a read-a-thon support group? Let’s chat in the comments below!

  1. I’m participating! (We talked about it on Twitter.) 😄❤

I don’t have my TBR set, yet, though. I do know that I have some library books I need to read, a couple of graphic novel series to get caught up on, a bunch of middle-grade books still to read, plus a few books I own and want to read. But titles for these books? ¯\_(ツ)_/ ¯

I’m very excited to figure them out, though! . . . Tomorrow night, just in time to start on the 14th. 😀🎉📚❤

  2. I’ve never done a read-a-thon before! How does it work? Is there a specified number of books you have to read in these days or can you choose your own reading goal? And all the best for your challenge! I might be a little late to sign up, but maybe the next one:)

  3. Great picks for the read-a-thon it is one my goals to participate in a read-a-thon probably this year around the fall time I can enter one. The spring and summer time are really not a good time for me to join a read-a-thon. Good luck on your read-a-thon my friend. Thank you so much for sharing your awesome post.
