Side Quest #9 [Book Blogger Hop]

book blogger hop

I can’t believe February was the last time we linked up for one of these blog hops! I guess that just goes to show how lazy I have been lately 😦

If you haven’t hopped before, the Book Blogger Hop is a great place to start 🙂 Each week there is a new question on Billy @ Ramblings of a Coffee Addicted Writer‘s site. We answer the question, link-up, and then go hopping with our fellow blog hoppers. Check out everyone else’s answers and maybe even make some new friends!

Now that you know what to do, let’s get to it! This week’s question comes from Rubina @ Booklove . . .

Do you ever feel you have emerged better for reading a book?

How have I never thought of this before?

nph mind blown

Have I emerged better for reading a book? I’m not really sure. I know there have been MANY books I have absolutely loved . . . but did they change me? There are always those book boyfriends who raise the standard for all book boyfriends to follow. But changed me as a person?

I think I’m going to have to say . . . no.

How about you? Have you ever been changed by a book? Let us know in the comments below!

Happy hopping ❤

  1. I think I’m more observant since I started reading again, but my husband has noticed I seem to swear more hmmm. My Brit vocabulary list keeps expanding so I’m learning something 😉

  2. Great answer, I answer yes because I stop reading books when I was in high school until my early twenty’s I started to read again and I was hooked from that day on. Thank you so much for sharing your awesome post.

  3. Yes. I think books that show sacrifice for love always move me and make me better. Off the top of my head, I think The Timetraveler’s Wife is like that.

  4. Very good answer! I think that the question is very much open to interpretation. So, for me, I do think that I have emerged better after reading a book because I think reading any book in general allows us to gain perspective on certain subjects/issues and can help shape us as people.

Feel free to check out my Book Blogger Hop answer if you wish!

  5. Megan this question is quite an “open to interpretation” kind of question. “Better” is quite subjective. I answered yes. Great answer though, and I love the part about book boyfriends. Would it not be great to find a husband, that ticks of our book boyfriend qualifications and attributes 😂
