Let’s Wrap It Up – April 2018

It’s gone? Already?!

I had huge plans for April. Camp NaNoWriMo, for one. I started the month, determined to finish the first draft of a fairytale retelling. And then it turned into a second chance romance novel. Add in 50+ hour weeks at my day job and my motivation entirely fizzled out.

We still had a pretty good blogging month, though πŸ™‚

Reviews – We reviewed TEN books in April. Not bad πŸ™‚

Blogger Spotlights – I am sad to say the Ginger Mom got a bit neglected this month and we only posted TWO Blogger Spotlights in April.

New on the Ginger Mom!

In April, we added TWO new features to the Ginger Mom! The first was our #ChildrensBookTuesday meme, where we will be featuring (and linking up!) our KidLit reviews each Tuesday! For the first one, we were honored to be guest posting over at Anky’s blog about reading to active children πŸ™‚

The second new feature was a Review Swap. We participated in a swap with Annalise @ Who Needs Sleep? and enjoyed it so much that we decided to turn it into a feature here at the Ginger Mom! Our second swap was with Nikki @ Saturday Nite Reader πŸ™‚

Odds and ends . . .

April brought my first Insecure Writer’s Support Group post (all about whether or not I am wasting my time as an author – what can I say, I really am an Insecure Writer!), as well as our very first professionally designed banner! Both of these were exciting firsts for us πŸ™‚

Our top Tweet of the month . . .

And . . .Β

And, don’t forget – if you haven’t linked up your AtoZ Challenge reviews (or mini challenge reviews) for April yet, there is still time to do so! Follow the blue froggy and share all the exciting books you’ve added to your challenge this month!

That’s all we have for April. What did your month look like?

  1. You actually had a fantastic month. Sorry, I was one of those to neglect you by not getting back to you – I am overwhelmed myself and fell behind.
