So, February . . .
It’s gone. It left.
February was the most uncoordinated, sporadic, crazy month we have had since the Ginger Mom began. I blame Mommy Birthday Brain for this. (Is this a thing? It should be a thing). In February, Mister Chu turned FOUR and Lady Quinn turned TWO. So we spent a couple weeks preparing for birthdays, then a week celebrating birthdays, and now we are recovering from birthdays.
The highlight of our month was definitely the creation of our Ginger Mom Blogger Spotlight. We will be featuring one blogger each Saturday, helping to spread the blogging love! And to start things off, we shared some of our inspirations for this new feature.
We added a few more reviews to our library this month . . .
The Wish I Wished Last Night by Shelley Pierce (⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐)
The Box by Jo Linsdell (⭐⭐⭐⭐)
Flash by Donna Ball (⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐)
How to Date a Nerd by Cassie Mae (⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐)
Peace in Flames by Caroline Andrus (⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐)
Highland Spy by Madeline Martin (⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐)
Overall, a pretty good month 🙂
Can you say epic fail?
It’s possible we added a book or two to the AtoZ Challenge (slightly possible) but this month was so confluffled that I can’t guarantee it.
If you haven’t checked out Dani’s blog, you should really go do it! Seriously, we’ll wait 🙂 She is so creative and this challenge pairs perfectly with our own AtoZ Reading Challenge.
Megan also decided to take on a month-long read-a-thon challenge. Epic fail. Just, epic fail.
Ah yes, then there was our own Read-a-Thon. It didn’t help that we completely FORGOT about this one until the day it was supposed to start. Lesson learned? Read-a-thons are a lot more challenging to host than one would think.
We were excited this month to have author Jo Linsdell guest-writing on the Ginger Mom 🙂 Ever wonder why we blog about books? She had some answers that hit the nail right on the head.
February saw the introduction of a new theme here at the Ginger Mom. A new banner and some fancy new buttons. We will, of course, be keeping the rainbow buttons for the AtoZ Reading Challenge. It’s a fun way for Megan to spice things up and play around with graphics 🙂
On that note, we have also been running a month-long GIVEAWAY in honor of Lady Quinn and Mister Chu’s birthdays! Have you entered? There is a $20 Amazon gift card up for grabs! All you have to do is stop by the GIVEAWAY POST and let us know what you like about the Ginger Mom or what you would like to see change 🙂 The challenge ends tonight at 11:59PM Central Time so make sure to get your entry in before it closes! Then stop by our Twitter profile tomorrow (March 1) to find out who won! We will also be contacting the winner via email or social media 🙂
And don’t forget to LINK UP YOUR REVIEWS!
That was our month 🙂 How was yours?
