48-Hour Mini Read-a-Thon!

Looking for something fun to do this weekend? How about a read-a-thon? Nothing fancy, just a quick 48-hour one. Have I piqued your interest yet? Why not join us?

I have been seeing these little 24-hour-athons all over Twitter recently and they look like so much fun. Personally, there’s no way I could make much progress over 24 hours but I started to think (yes, the fire extinguisher is nearby) that maybe a weekend read-a-thon could be beneficial to that TBR pile I keep adding to (thank you amazing bloggers who keep suggesting books I don’t need but absolutely can’t live without).

I don’t know about you but I need a bit of a kick in the pants to get myself reading again. After spending almost two weeks trying to learn how to use Pinterest for this blog (seriously, can it be that hard?), I realize I haven’t spent much time reading lately. And we have one author who has been waiting very patiently for us to review her book on the blog (Crystal has finished it, me . . . not so much).

And of course, you can’t have a read-a-thon without a little challenge, right?

Our challenge for this quick little read-a-thon is a book told with two points of view! And the best part about this mini challenge? Any books you complete for it count toward the $100 Amazon gift card Grand Prize drawing at the end of the year! How is that for a fun, productive weekend? No strings on this, either. It can be any letter (even ones you’ve already used!) Think of it as an extra FREEBIE letter!

So, are you up for a little 48-hour-athon? What’s on your weekend TBR?

  1. The first time I read dual POV was Joy Luck Club, in college. Fell in love with that way of writing. This is a catch-up weekend for me so can’t do this one, but maybe next time.
