Over the last couple years, I have really gone a bit overboard buying audiobooks. I have 86 titles currently in my Audible library, some that I have wanted to listen to for quite some time.
This challenge is perfect because I have dubbed 2018 the Year of the Backlist. And what’s one more challenge 😉 The Ginger Mom AtoZ Challenge is going to focus on the physical and Kindle books that I already own, while Novel Knight’s Beat the Backlist challenge is going to help get my NetGalley TBR shrunk a bit (and raise my feedback percentage – currently at about 30% yikes! – so they don’t stop giving me books). Why not a challenge to shrink my audiobook TBR? That way I can justify testing out Overdrive and borrowing audiobooks from my library (I don’t have an alterior motive for everything, promise!)
Enter the 2018 Audiobook Challenge, hosted by Hot Listens & Caffeinated Reviewer.
I will be setting my goal at 12 audiobooks (just one a month), putting me right in the middle of the Stenographer Level (10-15 books). This challenge will not include any audiobooks from tours (my rule, not theirs) or the Adopt-an-Audio. It will only count the books I already own.
I know, picky picky. But, in order to justify buying more books, I must first shrink the physical / digital / audio TBRs I already have. See? Logic.
Bring it on, 2018! Challenge accepted.
Are you participating? How many audiobooks do you want to listen to? Let me know in the comments below and good luck!
